The Tornadoes (2-2) made it an unhappy reunion for Jerry Hughes, beating their former coach 22-7 before 1,000 fans at Ted Hendricks Stadium. HML is 0-4.

Booker T. struggled early with 70 yards of penalties in the first half. The Tornadoes managed to take a 7-0 lead in the first quarter on Dwayne Ireland's 23-yard sweep. The touchdown was set up by Darrian Mobley's punt block, which gave Booker T. the ball at the HML 25.

''Our special teams are very important to us,'' Booker T. coach Tim Harris Sr. said. ``In all four games, we have blocked a punt.''

However, that was BTW's only score of the half.

''In the first half, there was a lot of emotion based on the situation with the kids playing against their former coach,'' Harris said. ``But Miami Lakes also did a great job on defense. They did stop us. But at halftime, we made sure we got the kids together and got them ready to go for the second half.''

The Trojans tied the score at seven in the third quarter, breaking through on a 1-yard run by Anthony Henderson. The TD was set up when Thaddeus Lewis hit Ahaz Williams for a 43-yard gain inside BTW's 5-yard line.

The Tornadoes came right back on a 4-play, 80-yard drive, capped by an 11-yard touchdown pass from Harris to Ronald Wright.

''That drive was extremely big for us and definitely got us going,'' Harris Sr. said.

Booker T. sealed the win on a 1-yard TD run by Ireland midway through the fourth.
